Note from CBM*HARV:
People/Link downloaders note: this ARC does not contain the whole disk
described. The demo screens have been left out of this ARC file to keep
it to a reasonable size. I included what I felt were the most
interesting and best-rendered screens to keep the file at a length limit
that people would be willing to spend the time and money to download.

MACHINE REQUIRMENTS
------------------------
Amiga with 512,single disk drive, DOS V1.2, and graphics software that
supports IFF standard graphics files.
NOTE: Both Deluxe Paint and Aegis Images have the ability to capture
parts of the screen and use them as brushes. This will be especially helpful
with this disk, when different graphic elements need to be overlayed.
PURPOSE OF TV GRAPHICS
---------------------------
TV GRAPHICS is a utility disk to be used in conjuction with other
graphics programs for your Amiga. Think of this disk as a video graphics
clip art disk. TV GRAPHICS is loaded with background screens for your video
productions, similar to the computer graphics seen on the nightly news.
The graphics on this disk will be especially helpful with the Genlock and
frame grabber interfaces. You can also find uses for animation as well.
USING TV GRAPHICS
--------------------
TV GRAPHICS is divided up into three different types of graphics styles.
SCREENS (.SCR), FRAMES (.FRA), and PARTS (PRTS). SCREENS are full graphics
pictures already created for instant use. FRAMES are small borders that
allow you to overdub any video, or graphic elements inside them. PARTS
are small pieces of computer art that can define as a brush and create your
own screens with.
VIEWING THE PICTURES
---------------------
To look at the various graphic files on this disk, open the graphics
directory first. Click on the SeeILBM icon once and hold the shift key and
double-click any of the picture icons to view them. Compare the different
types of graphic files to get the feel of TV GRAPHICS.
CREATING THE "DEMO A" SCREEN
------------------------------
The DEMO A screen was created by first loading in the chrome frames into
the spare screen. Always do this to avoid color conflicts. Then the
second file, BRICKS was loaded in the other screen. Going back to the spare
screen, one of the frames was defined as a brush (as in Deluxe Paint) and
moved to the other screen, over the Bricks picture. In this instance,
a drop shadow was first placed and then the frame was moved to the upper
left and dropped in place. The shadow area was re-worked with a darker
color mixture for a more realistic look. The inside of the frame was then
painted black, since this is where the video signal would go.
The other demos on this disk were done in a similiar manner.
NOTES ON COLOR CONTROLS
----------------------------
The colors for the chrome and gold frames (colors 8-12) are made up of
the following combinations:
CHROME GOLD
-------------------------------
13 13 13 15 12 00
12 12 12 13 10 00
10 10 10 11 08 00
09 09 09 10 06 00
08 08 08 06 04 00
The color controls are given above, in case you run into any color
problems. Sometimes you may want to change your frames to other colors
without having to load in the other frames. You may now do this directly
from the color pallette.
CONVERTING LO-RES SCREENS TO MED AND HI RES
------------------------------------------------
Although all the graphic files on TV GRAPHICS were done in lo-res, they
can be easily converted in med and hi-res by defining any area of the lo-res
screen as a brush and then saving it to your data disk in your brush drawer.
Remember to take down color notes so you can accurately reproduce them,
unless you want different colors.
